2017 Camp - "Youth Works" in Savannah, GA!
July 16 - 21
Registration forms coming soon!
The city of Savannah will welcome you and your group with open arms as you come to learn about its culture and history and serve its people. You will partner with local organizations such as Old Savannah City Mission, the Salvation Army, Second Harvest Food Bank and others. You’ll spend time playing with children and dancing with the elderly. You will also have the chance to be part of a unique partnership YouthWorks has with the City of Savannah by painting houses to assist residents in need, helping the city to preserve its historic beauty. In the evenings, you’ll see even more of this city as you enjoy strolling down River Street, touring the oldest African-American church in the country, swimming on Tybee Island, and sharing a meal with new and old friends at a community cookout.
YouthWorks has been serving in Savannah since 2000. We have some great friendships and longstanding service partnerships here, and while we’ve had a few different housing partners over the years, we’ve never been met with anything less than the utmost southern hospitality. We’ve been housed at our current host church since 2008.
